Asian Road Cycling Championship, 2019.

Asian Road Cycling Championship, Tashkent 2019.

I was given the honour of wearing the Indian Jersey in Uzbekistan, where the best from all over our continent came to battle for bragging rights.

I’m happy to say that I have put up the best performance of my life till date!

In the ITT, I finished 7th. 7th place happens to be 48 seconds behind the bronze medal timing, which is amazing motivation not just for me, but for every cyclist in India. We are getting closer and closer to the best in the sport, year after year.

In the road race, we didn’t manage to achieve the result we wanted, although we ended up having one of our toughest races till date. The pace was searingly high right from the start line, and it truly differentiated between the best and the rest. The race finished at the peak of an 18km climb, where I was the 29th rider to cross the line.

Thanks to Cycling Federation of India for giving us this opportunity once again. And a huge thanks to my coach Isaiah Newkirk, my friends and family and Steadfast Nutrition & @2Goactivewear for supporting my quest to become the best version of myself as an athlete.
